Welcome to July's CPD Mail: Important CPD Update
Welcome to the July 2010 issue of the IPM CPD Mail, the monthly one stop shop for all your CPD requirements. Published on the 3rd Monday of each month, the CPD Mail contains links to IPM accredited CPD resources as well as events, enabling you to accrue CPD points on a manageable month by month basis.
Each CPD mail contains links to exclusive new CPD opportunities, as well as a round up of other resources which you will have had chance to access already. We are currently allocating codes to all our resources on an ongoing basis (including the Journal of Place Management & Development and key readings), this will enable you to bank points for these resources without having to wait for them to appear in the CPD Mail.
Please follow the information link(s) below that is related to your membership level for a full explanation of the CPD options available to you as members. For further details concerning all aspects of the IPM CPD framework please refer to the FAQs Section and the IPM CPD Booklet.

IPM Launches Annual CPD Certificate
The IPM is launching Annual CPD Certificates this month for all renewing members as of January 2010. The IPM will issue certificates to members along with their new membership term certificates.
The certificate will declare the number of hours a member has banked in CPD points in their online profile throughout their 12 month membership term. The certificate will be a valuable source of evidence to employers, potential funding bodies or partner organisations and will support membership level proficiency.
It is the Institutes intention to focus on ensuring that IPM members meet their annual CPD targets and provide them with ample information and advice to do this (July’s CPD Mail will provide further details). The IPM further advises members to use their new membership term to become fully acquainted with the IPMs CPD framework, opportunities and specifics, and encourages them to contact us if they have any questions or issues.
The certificate will follow a similar format to the existing IPM CPD certificate series with the exception of an official seal.
For further details, or if you have any questions, concerning CPD please contact cpd@placemanagement.org
