Welcome to the June edition of the Place Bulletin. This month we have news on some innovative new crime prevention technology which is currently being taken up by towns and shopping centres, we have a piece on Bogota’s difficulty in keeping the city’s progression on an upward trend, plus we have news of Mary Portas’ new role as adviser to the Government concerning the decline of our town centres. As usual, we have some updates from the Department of Communities and local Government, plus we have a call for papers for the next Place Branding conference which will take place in Utrecht in January 2012.
