Month by month the Place Bulletin is a one-stop shop for the latest news and developments in the place management industry. We have given the format a makeover in order to keep it fresh; our recent Member survey revealed that the Bulletin is one of our most popular Membership resources, with over 85% of respondents using the Bulletin on a regular basis – therefore we hope the new format is well received.
For those new to the Bulletin; whether you're a town centre manager, an academic, policy maker or anything in between, we aim to bring you some of the stories relevant to you which have caught our eye over the past month.
This month's Bulletin includes more goings on from the World of Politics, where John Denham and John Healey have both announced proposals which it is hoped will help to improve the UK's places. We also have a couple of stories from overseas, one from the United States and one from Australia, which should both provide inspiration regarding how to improve spirit and foster cohesion in local communities. Finally, we have news on a useful new town centre improvement document which has been released by the British Retail Consortium, as well as further news relating to the link between health and green spaces, something which we have touched on previously in the Bulletin.
We also have our usual range of IPM updates, including news on the latest batch of key readings which have just been released to Members, and Volume 2 Issue 2 of the Journal of Place Management & Development, which is now available online to all Members through the E-academy.
